The Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. was established in 1947. The objectives and purposes of this non-profit corporation are: To promote sportsmanship among its members and the general public. To promote marksmanship with firearms and the general public. To foster programs to educate its members and the general public in safe, proper, and responsible use of firearms. To sponsor, arrange, and hold meetings and contests involving the safe use of firearms. To provide facilities for use in carrying out the above purposes. We are a National Rifle Association (NRA) affiliated club. Each club member must be a member of, and maintain membership in, the NRA.

The club's range facility is divided into several different dedicated ranges: Moving target range, Falling plate range, Bullseye range (above), General shooting range, Pistol Benchrest range, Action Pistol Barricade/Practical range (left), Small bore rifle range, Steel bay, and Big bore rifle range. In order to provide these specialized facilities, members and their guests must respect the restrictions placed on the use of the various ranges. We must all observe certain rules in order to service all members as safely as possible. Common sense, mutual courtesy and a cooperative attitude will help everyone enjoy the shooting sports.
